Hey everyone!
Thanks for the topic in this GREAT forum for Cathy!

I am the creator of the forthcoming SPITFIRE. Some of you may have read the first edition of the book. Well all the mail I received begging and pleading for me to make it into a movie, has paid off!

We have a 3 phase plan, to this project including a new revised 2nd edition of Spitfire!
We will keep everyone up todate here and on the SPITFIRE myspace page!

Cathy loves you guys and I can see why! Your support of her is incredible!!!

Cathy has been amazing to work with so far, and I am sure it will only get better!
As of right now, we are looking hard for our "Ashley" to play oppisite Cathy's "Dillon".
We would love to hear your thoughts on who you think would make the best Ashley! There are a lot of great actresses out there, and we've narrowed it down. BUT WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!!

Ok so I guess it would help if those of you who do not have ESP or haven't read the 1st Edition of Spitfire to know what it's all about. So here you go:

L.A. firefighter, Dillon “Spitfire” McCabe lay motionless in a blazing inferno. Pulled out in the nick of time by her team, she awakens in the Mount West L.A. Hospital, with the beautiful Doctor Ashley Wilkerson standing over her.
Despite the efforts of her confidant Rhonda, Ashley falls for the tall, strong, firefighter, trying desperately to break down the walls that Dillon’s past has built around her heart.

Howdy Gina,

I love the premise of this story. Thanks for dreaming it up..and of course thanks for asking for our heathen opinions on casting.

I can't help seeing Dr. Ashley as a short-haired blonde gal like a young Meg Ryan or Brittany Daniel who is the chick who plays Brandy in Joe Dirt.

To me, it seems like the opposite appearances of the two characters would work nicely.

So now you have one heathen opinion. Good luck on bringing this story to life!

I think Marnie Alton. Cathy and Marnie have great chemistry as demonstrated on Exes and Ohs and Marnie fits the profile nicely I think. Jill Bennett wouldn't be bad either.
